I was privileged to work with David at Baker Funeral Home in Suffolk, Virginia. I have only good memories of him and our professional association. David was a one of a kind man . He never turned anyone away and was always there to listen and help if he could. All those who knew David will forever miss him...No person could ever replace David . One of the best people on earth has gone to be with our Lord in heaven

Linda, I may have hit a "wrong" key earlier that eliminated our message. But, Dale and I have you in our prayers and look to the day that we can see you. Children are such God given special gifts that delight parents. Thus, losing one must be so very sorrowful and challenging. We pray that you will know the comfort of the all sufficient loving God that you serve.

David - a kind friend who could find a way to bring laughter in very difficult times. He genuinely cared about others. My heart was saddened to learn of David's passing this morning. I got to know David and his former wife, Lisa, when they lived in Belvedere, SC. I was the babysitter for Brian and Katherine. I loved them as if they were my own children. Brian, Katherine: I think of you often and especially now that your dad has completed his time here on earth with you. Dearest Linda and family, our hearts are truly broken over David's passing. You have our deepest condolences. We remember David's kind spirit, his wonderful sense of humor and infectious laugh. He is part of some of our fondest memories with the Valentine/Rustin/McCarter families and will be very missed, but still alive in our hearts.
