Clinton Tatum
GAFFNEY, SC - Clinton "Clint" W. Tatum, 62, of Gaffney, SC, peacefully passed away on December 3, 2023, at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Born in Aiken, he was the eldest son of the late Coach DeWitt Tatum and the late Mary Guest Tatum. A graduate of Aiken High School, Clint continued his education at The University of South Carolina, where he proudly served as one of the Gamecock Mascots during his senior year.
Outside of his beloved retail jobs, Clint found joy in cultivating his garden and tending to his flower beds. Actively engaged in the community, he was a devoted hero for rescue dogs, many of whom found loving homes through his efforts. Clint contributed his time to local animal shelters, SPCAs, and was a dedicated member of the Upstate AIDS Coalition.
His love extended to his family and cherished animals, including his beloved "Minnie," "Ginger," and "Rascal." Clint is survived by his constant companion, Tina Christman, and his brother Kyle P. Tatum of Smyrna, GA, two nieces, and numerous cousins.
In honoring Clint's memory, no services are scheduled at this time.
