WEST COLUMBIA, SC - Mr. Carlos R. Brooks, entered into rest April 18, 2023. The Brooks Family invites you to join them in a Homegoing Celebration on Monday, April 24, 2023, 12 pm at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel, 390 Beaufort Street, NE, Aiken, SC.
He is survived by, Rhea McDowell Brooks; one child, Christopher (Casey) Upson, born to his high school sweetheart, his first wife, Patricia Hoyte; two stepsons, Emmanuel Wade and Daniel Z. Bey; three grandchildren, Kristasia Upson, Christopher Upson, Jr., and Ashton Upson; three brothers, Irving (Lydia) Brooks, Jr., Darryl L. Brooks, Anthony P. Brooks; three sisters, Patricia A. (Anthony) Fisher, Anitrese M. Sadio, and Inez Reilly; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, many other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by a sister, Romona E. Santiago.
