Aiken - BETTY JEAN BROCK BRAGG, 85, beloved wife of Ralph Eugene Bragg, died Monday, July 30, 2018 at University Hospital.
A native of Anderson, SC, Betty was a daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Eula Gladys Hardy Brock. She grew up in Laurens, SC and lived in Aiken County since 1954. She was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church for 25 years and then became a member of Town Creek Baptist Church. She formerly worked at Aiken County Department of Social Services and at Owens Corning Fiberglass. She was also a homemaker.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, Ralph, include a daughter, Lynne Ergle (John), Graniteville; two sons, Gerald Bragg (Susan), Warrenville, Ken Bragg, Aiken; nine grandchildren, Felicia Ergle, John Ergle, Devin Bragg, Dustin Bragg, Phillip Bragg, Matthew Bragg, Kenneth Bragg, Joshua Bragg, Ashley Mathis; six great-grandchildren, Katie Bragg, Jakob Bragg, Nate Bragg, Abigail Bragg, Kayden Mathis, Karson Mathis; a sister, Barbara Tumblin (Carl), Laurens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Bragg Burkhart.
The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon, August 4th beginning at 1 o'clock at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 2 o'clock with interment in Sunset Memory Gardens.
