ANGELA MOORMAN Obituary

MOORMAN, ANGELA JOYCE CASNELLI (6/5/1933-3/6/2014) - Angela was born on June 5, 1933, to parents Vera and Arnold Casnelli in Covington, Kentucky. She attended Mother of God Elementary School and was graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 1950. While working at Cincinnati Gas and Electric Company, her love of music led her to join the Mother of God Chorale Club where she met her husband of 12 years and father of her two children, Hal McIntosh. Angela's varied work pursuits include secretarial positions, serving as vice president of Ackerman Chaco Company and as treasurer of Z & M General Contractors, training/internship toward radiological technician certification at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, and her later role as a book store manager. She was distinguished as a Kentucky Colonel by the governor of the Commonwealth in 1963. Angela enjoyed all things artistic-painting, music, decorating, movies, writing, reading, and dancing. Her natural charisma and delightful personality readily attracted many friends throughout her lifetime. During middle age, she moved to Florida where she was widowed by her husband of 25 years, Richard Moorman. In 1997, she was remarried to Ron Russell, a dual citizen of England and Canada, and the two alternated between their homes in St. Petersburg, Florida, and Orillia, Ontario, until Ron's passing in 2007. In order to be near family, Angela relocated to Shannondale Assisted Living Center in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she received the best of care by dedicated professionals within a nurturing Christian community. On Thursday, March 6, 2014, she passed away peacefully into the arms of God surrounded by the love of family and Amedisys Hospice Care at Shannondale Healthcare Center. She was preceded in death by brother, Arnold Byron Casnelli; sister-in-law, Patricia; and nephew Louie. Survivors include brother, Wallace Anthony Casnelli and sister-in-law Mary Alice of Tennessee; son Michael Timothy McIntosh and daughter-in-law Kelly of Kentucky; daughter Stephanie Kim McIntosh of Tennessee; grandchildren, Matthew Rankin of Tennessee; Joshua and Alexandra McIntosh of Kentucky; nephews, Tony Casnelli of Connecticut, Mark Casnelli of West Virginia; nieces, Chris Casnelli of Virginia, Avis Vandegrift-Fisher of Florida; and special friend since childhood, Joan Lindeman Rothring of Kentucky. Family will receive friends at the Middlebrook Pike location of Click Funeral Home on Saturday, March 15, at 3:00 p.m. The Reverend Robert Hofstetter of Good Shepherd Catholic Church will officiate a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. Click Funeral Home and Cremations - Middlebrook Chapel is serving the Moorman family.
