Alvin Bryan Obituary
EDGEFIELD - Alvin Butler Bryan, Sr., 86 husband of Peggy Rhoden Bryan of 66 years entered into rest on December 9, 2023.
Alvin was born in Edgefield, SC as the son of the late Mattie Ruth Ranson Bryan and Cecil "Jake" Bryan. Alvin was a retired Director of Aiken County Public Works & Engineering. He attended Clemson University and was a member of Edgefield First Baptist Church. He loved his family, Clemson Tigers, and was a dear friend to many.
Alvin is survived by his beloved wife Peggy, one son Dr. Alvin B. Bryan, Jr. (Cindy), one daughter Angie B. Pace (Eddie), seven grandchildren Jake Bryan (Tiphenie), Allison Walthall (Thomas), Dr. Ashley Bryan McDill (Ryan), Anne Marie Bryan, Brittany Doughty (Chris), Kristen Lardizabal (Christian), Courtney Pace, thirteen great grandchildren and one sister Ginny Gilchrist.
Services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Edgefield First Baptist Church, PO Box 624 Edgefield, SC 29824.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home.
