Aaron Reames, beloved father, passed away Friday afternoon on the 15th of March at the age of 52. He was born in Seattle, Washington, the son of Shirley Phillips and Jerald Jimeson Reames, and loving stepson of Gerald Dwain Phillips. His mother, Shirley Phillips preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife who will always be his best friend and the love of his life, Susan Schenk-Reames; his two beloved daughters, Erika Ester Reames and Anya Alexandra Reames; his stepfather, Gerald Dwain Phillips; his three brothers, Kyle Bryan, Eric Bryan, and Blake Reames; and his stepsister, Kelly Phillips. Additionally he is survived by his numerous nieces and nephews.
Aaron Reames worked as a Biotech scientist at Cerus and Bayer for most of his life and was talented to say the least, becoming published at a young age. As a man who promoted interest in knowledge, he would often bring his young daughters to his labs in the evenings and taught them about the experiments. As he once said, "I believe children should be given every opportunity to develop their skills and talents as they become manifest."
This man, who climbed pyramids in the Yucatan, snorkeled in the Caribbean, swam with sharks in the ocean, loved in the home, all with his family alongside him; will be honored with a place to rest that faces the hills. The hills and mountains were dear to his heart and will surround him forever.
The viewing for this lovable hooligan will be held on Monday, the 25th of March, 2013 at the Oak Park Hills Chapel in Walnut Creek from 4pm-8pm. On the following day, Tuesday, the 26th of March, 2013, the service will be held in his honor at the Oak Park Hills Chapel at promptly 11am.
