Robert Baynham Obituary
NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - Mr. Robert A. Baynham, 79, husband of 47 years to Sarah Nell M. Baynham, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at his residence.
His graveside service was held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Pineview Memorial Park with Dr. Tommy Meadors and Pastor Bert Baynham officiating.
Mr. Baynham was born in North Augusta and was a lifelong resident. He retired from Westinghouse Savannah River Plant. He was an avid golfer, hunter and enjoyed spending time with his family. After retirement he served 15 years as a volunteer with the Merriwether Elementary School. He also served 8 years with the US Naval Reserve. He was a member of Big Stevens Creek Baptist Church.
Additional survivors include 3 daughters, Julie B. Lee (Mike), Ashley B. Phail (Cole), and Alison D. Baynham; 2 sons, Bert A. Baynham (Wanda) and Barry A. Baynham; 2 brothers, Larry Baynham (Rosalie) and Ned Baynham (Kay); 3 granddaughters, Peyton B. Conner (Charles), Autumn Phail and Olivia Presley; 4 grandsons, Jason Baynham (Lori), Jonah Baynham (Mary), Mason Baynham and Baynham Phail; 4 great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Madison, Isabella, and Audrey Baynham; and 2 great-grandsons, Weston Baynham and Charles Conner, III. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifton A. Baynham and his mother, Hazel C. Baynham; 2 sisters, Jewel M. Boehmer and Ruby A. Walton; and 2 brothers, Ramon C. Baynham and Earl E. Baynham.
The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 3 to 5 PM.
Pallbearers were Leo Boehmer, Daren Baynham, Wayne Baynham, Jonathan Baynham, Michael Baynham, and Thomas Walton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Big Stevens Creek Baptist Church, 1850 W. Martintown Road, North Augusta, SC 29860, or to the charity of one's choice.
