Jesse Huff Obituary

North Augusta, SC – Mr. Jesse L. Huff, 82, entered into rest February 16, 2026. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday afternoon, February 21st, at 2 o'clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel with Rev. Marion Britton officiating. Entombment will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Veteran Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm.

Jesse was born July 31, 1943, to the later Adolphus Huff and Lessie Hobbs Huff. Raised in Jefferson County, GA, he has made North Augusta, SC his home for the past 24 years. Jesse was a proud patriot and U.S. Navy veteran, having served during the Vietnam War, and was an active member of the Jessie C. Lynch Memorial American Legion Post 71. He had an incredible work ethic, was a wonderful provider to his family, and retired as a manager with UPS with over 25 years of service. Jesse was known as a handyman who loved helping others and truly had a servant's heart. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson and has attended the First Baptist Church of North Augusta in recent years. Jesse enjoyed the simple things of life; spending time at the lake, tailgating, and attending Gamecock football games. However, his greatest joy in life was his family. He loved his children, adored his grandchildren, and was an endearing husband to his beloved wife, Sheila, who he affectionately called his Darlin'. Jesse was a great friend to many, a wonderful caretaker to his family, and poured effort into his young son, Aiden, helping him love and appreciate the world around him.

In addition to his parents, Jesse was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Huff; a sister, Bonnie Huff; two sisters-in-law, Betty Huff and Lottie Huff; and a brother-in-law, Issac Usry. Surviving family members left to cherish his memory include his wife of 22 years, Sheila S. Huff; his children, Jason Huff (Kristina), Holly Ellis (John), and Aiden Huff; his grandchildren, Hudson Huff, Graham Huff, and John Ellis III; two brothers, Frank Huff and Larry Huff; a sister, Susie Usry; a sister-in-law, Gloria Huff; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Graham Huff, Hudson Huff, Jimmy Huff, Ryan Huff, Larry Huff, Jr., and Ethan Thames.
