Mrs. Jackie Josey Anderson, 79, passed peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, December 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Known for her vibrant spirit and generous heart, Jackie brought joy to all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Anderson, her beloved sister, Carol Jarone McCormick, and her cherished great-nephew, Jonathan Stringfield.
In accordance with Jackie's wishes, no formal services will be held.
Those left to lovingly remember and honor Jackie's life include her devoted daughter, Jana Anderson (Myra); her niece and nephew, Carol Borders and Carl Shealy (Noelle); her treasured great-nieces and nephews, Brooks Shealy (Ashley), Austin Shealy-who held a very special place in her heart-Jillian Gerido (Justin), and Justin Norris (Rachel); and her precious great-great-grandchild, Lily, who brought her endless delight.
Born in Aiken County, South Carolina, Jackie was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Rosa Lee Murrell Josey. Though she was a devoted mother to her beloved daughter Jana, Jackie was affectionately known as "Ma" to many others who were drawn to her warmth, humor, and larger-than-life personality. Her laughter was contagious, her stories unforgettable, and her presence could brighten any room.
Jackie embraced life with enthusiasm. She loved to travel and fish, always eager for the next adventure or peaceful moment by the water. A devoted fan of Ronnie McDowell, she found great joy in his music, which often served as the soundtrack to her life.
Jackie will be remembered for her fierce love, boundless humor, and the way she made everyone feel like family. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved her and the many lives she touched along the way.
