George Brevak Obituary

George Stanley Brevak, 48, passed away in Avondale, Arizona the morning of July 18, 2014. The cause of death is still unknown at this time. George was born in Washburn, Wisconsin May 30, 1966. His parents are Virgil (deceased, 2006) and Jean Brevak of Tinley Park, IL. Antoinette Schmidt (sister) of Superior, WI and Sean Brevak (brother) West Palm Beach, FL are his siblings. Virgil later remarried to Diane Brevak of Anchorage, AK. This provided him with an additional sister and brother, Sherri Harten of Anchorage, AK and Gary Laguna of Hurley, WI. George married Tracy Brevak (Oberg) in 1998. George had a daughter from a previous marriage, Ashley Brevak (1990) of Anchorage, AK. Tracy had a daughter from a previous marriage as well, Kaylan Oberg (1994) of Oshkosh, WI. George and Tracy provided three more daughters; Brice (1998), Breanna (1999), and Brandy Brevak (2002). He had one grandson, mothered by Kaylan, named Ryder Biro (2013). George served in the U.S. Army for four years. He spent nine years working at CH2MHILL as a Manager/Heavy Equipment Operator. He loved music and martial arts. He played the guitar, drums, and wrote songs/poems. He was in a few bands back in his days. He also had his own martial arts studio, around ten years ago, using his black belt to teach others the art of defense and discipline. George was a wonderful husband and the greatest father a child could ask for. He was deeply loved and will never be forgotten. George's memorial will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 in Washburn, Wisconsin at the Messiah Lutheran Church from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. We would like to thank everyone for their condolences and a special gratitude to Donalee and Dale Brevak (aunt and uncle of George) of Washburn, WI for setting up the ceremony.
