Samelia Huggins Obituary

The angels of silence came into the home of our beloved Miss Samelia Tyechia Huggins on Friday, July 11, 2025, and took our mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend into eternal rest. She has gone to join her beloved father, Eugene Bellamy, Sr. along with her maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

"Stanka," as she was affectionately called, was the daughter and oldest child of the late Eugene Bellamy, Sr., and Carol M. Huggins Bellamy, was born on November 15, 1984, in Conway, South Carolina. She was educated in the Horry County Public Schools and graduated from Conway High School in the Class of 2003. She has resided in Bucksport, SC, for the majority of her life until her untimely, unexpected death. After high school, she worked several local jobs. Eventually, she completed some classes at Miller-Motte Technical College in Conway, SC. While in school, she thoroughly enjoyed classes and looked forward to completing her degree. Unfortunately, she was not able to achieve this goal, but her heart and fervor never ceased. To know her was to love her, and she would do anything she could to help someone else if she had the means.

While she did not formalize her membership at any local church, Samelia did have a desire to learn more about God. Her relationship with the Father is one that only she and He will know, and our prayers rest in the hope that she said "yes" before her last breath. What we are able to rest and find refuge in is her final message to many of us, "I love you!"

She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Carol M. Huggins Bellamy; the joys of her life, her two sons: Jy'Quail Nyterrion Wilson and Jymere Naheem Singleton; her sister, Shantanika F. Bellamy, her brother, Eugene (Raven) Bellamy, Jr., and her sister-cousin, Kiana (Raheem) Robinson. Also left to cherish her memories are her nieces and nephews: Madison A. Bellamy, Jamell Z. Lucas, Micah A. Bellamy, and Malachi A. Bellamy, and her best friend, Ebony Richardson. Additionally, she has three maternal aunts: Mavis (James) Phillips, Audrey Spain, and Robin (Juan) Flores; five paternal aunts: Rose Graham, Dorothy (Lefogran) Sherman, Estelle (George) Robinson, Brenzell (Glendell) Hunt, and Jannett Aklin; five maternal uncles: James Huggins, Lee Mark (Janice) Huggins, Rodney Huggins, Myles Huggins, and Nelson Huggins, Jr.; two paternal uncles: James (Betty) Bellamy and Harvey (Gwen) Bellamy; and one maternal and paternal great aunt: Dorothy Doctor and Charlotte Sherman left to cherish her memories along with a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
