Becky Burke Obituary

Becky Harris Burke, 72, of Garden City Beach, South Carolina, formerly of Anderson, passed away on March 22, 2026. Becky was born on September 8, 1953, in Anderson, South Carolina, to Joe and Ann Harris.

Becky loved the simple joys of life-spending time at the beach, collecting shark teeth, reading, and traveling. She especially enjoyed trips to Disney World and St. Augustine, Florida, and treasured the time she spent traveling with her family. She cherished quiet moments at home with her beloved cat, Baby, often enjoying time on her balcony.

More than anything, she loved being a mother and built a close, lasting bond with her daughter that was filled with travel, laughter, and shared traditions.Becky is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ashley Burke Lewis, and her husband, Brett Lewis, of Florence, South Carolina; her sister, Judy Harris Bullard, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; and her brother, Randy Harris, and his wife, Susan Harris, of Anderson, South Carolina. She is also survived by her nephews, Cameron Bullard and Courtland Bullard; her nieces, Anna Harris Wright and Lynsey Harris McCoig; along with other extended family members.

Becky was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Morgan Harris; her mother, Ann Elizabeth Harris; and her spouse, Jimmy Lee Burke.

Honoring her wishes, no formal services will be held.
