Roger Jarin Obituary
Roger William Jarin, a man whose life was a testament to love, family, and unwavering optimism, left this world on May 29th, 2025, at his home in Myrtle Beach, SC, surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 95. Born on February 24, 1930, in the Bronx, NY, Roger lived a life rich with experiences, friendships, and countless cherished moments. While he experienced hardships in his life at a young age he never settled or became complacent. He always overcame and excelled at anything he put his mind to.
Roger was a true embodiment of warmth and kindness; his infectious smile would light up any room he entered. He never met a stranger, only friends he hadn't gotten to know yet. His outlook on life was perpetually sunny, always seeing the glass as half full and finding the silver lining in any cloud. He believed deeply in the good in everyone, often lifting up those around him with his encouragement and positivity.
Throughout his life, Roger was a pillar for both his biological and chosen family, proving himself a devoted provider and leader. His achievements were not only professional but deeply personal, which reflected in the lasting bonds he created and nurtured.
In his community, Roger found a second home with his friends at the Moose Lodge, where he was known for his fun-loving nature and sense of camaraderie. He had a love for the game Bridge. Was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling the world. He was a natural entertainer, who loved to DJ, sing and dance. He was also a very talented chef, who was always teaching and sharing his knowledge with others.
His faith in Christ gave him peace leaving this world.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Darlene Jarin. His daughters- Karen Rodriguez, Cheryl Messersmith, Kimberly Austin and her husband JR, Juliette Jarin and her husband Jay.
He is predeceased in death by his father Clifford Tobias Jarin, brother Cliff Jarin, daughters Jeanne Jarin and Michelle Balbiere.
Roger also leaves behind a host of adoring grandchildren who will forever cherish his legacy of love and laughter.
As we remember Roger, let us celebrate a life well-lived, filled with joy, community, and a boundless spirit of generosity. His memory will continue to inspire all who knew him to see the world through his eyes-full of hope, kindness, and infinite possibility.
