Mary E. Lapinsky

Conway, SC

Mary E. Lapinsky, 95, of Conway, SC passed away peacefully on March

20, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in West Hazleton on May 3, 1930 Mary was the daughter of the late

George and Susan Marhelko Danison.

Following graduation from West Hazleton High School in 1948 Mary worked

For the UGI Corp. She was also employed by the Diocese of Scranton both

In their Hazleton Guild Store and Uniform department. As time went on Mary

Joined her husband, John S. Lapinsky, also an employee with the Guild.

As a team, they were responsible for all the uniforms and clothing required for

Catholic Schools for the entire Diocese of Scranton.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband, John S.

Lapinsky in 2007, the love of her life. She was also preceded in death by all

Of her siblings, brothers, Peter, George Jr., and John Danison; sisters, Ann

Giovanni, and Theresa Jemo.

Surviving are her loving daughter, Linda S. Brown and her husband, Stanley

R. Brown of Conway.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am Thursday, March 26, 2026

morning at St. James Catholic Church.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Oscar Borda Rojas and Rev. Fr.

Timothy M. Lijewski at St. James Catholic Church at 11:00 am Thursday,

March 26, 2026.

Mary will be laid to eternal rest at a later date in Calvary Cemetery-

Diocese of Scranton in Drums, PA, directed by Fierro Funeral Service.
