Conway….. Mabel Marie "Bea" Carter Benton, age 82, wife of the late Keith Curtis Benton passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025. Mrs. Benton was born in Conway, SC, a daughter of the late Clyde Buran and Ethel Marie Bratcher Carter. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church where she was a member of the church choir and the Liberty Belles ladies singing group. Prior to retirement, she was employed by Conway Medical Center and had worked for many years prior with Dr. Brad Courtney, MD. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Beth Benton. Surviving are: one daughter, Becky Benton (Russell Mishoe) of Conway; five grandchildren, Carter Owens (Kassie Larimore), Benton White, Morgan Miller, River Mishoe, and Riley Mishoe; one sister, Hilda Shelley (Henry) of Conway; and one brother, Dennis Carter (Susan) of Mullins, SC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday from Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. John Holmes officiating. Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday in the church fellowship hall.
