Kandy Larrimore Obituary

With a heart full of love and a life full of color, Kandy Larrimore peacefully entered the arms of Jesus after courageously battling ALS. Though the disease took her earthly life, it never-not for one moment-took her love, her smile, or her soul.

Kandy was born to her mother, the late Juanita Thompson and her father, Earl Thompson. She is preceded by four beloved sisters: Kathy, Carolyn, Tammy, and Heather. She is survived by her brother Anthony and her sister Mary, who carry her memory with them always.

Kandy was the beloved wife of her husband, Eddie Larrimore, who stood faithfully by her side through every season. She was the proud and loving mother of her cherished children, Kassie Roscoe and Ty Larrimore, and the adoring mother-in-law to Ryan Roscoe. Her grandson, Sawyer Roscoe, blessed her with the sweetest name-GaGa-and filled her later years with immeasurable joy and purpose.

Kandy's love extended to her many nieces and nephews, each of whom she treasured deeply.

Creative in every sense, Kandy found joy in crafting, decorating, and turning ordinary spaces into something beautiful. She had exceptional taste and a natural talent for interior design. She made furniture pieces, created memory books, and poured her creativity into countless projects. She loved collecting and yes, even hoarding treasures, each with its own story. Her quick wit, playful sense of humor, and love for pulling jokes or harmless pranks made her unforgettable. Those who knew her best knew she was wonderfully OCD. Everything had a place, and she meant it. She was also a wonderful cook who lived by her famous saying: "Never trust a skinny cook."

Kandy loved Disney and visited over fifteen times, never losing her sense of wonder or excitement. She might not have ever learned how to swim, but she navigated life with courage, boldness, and grace. She lived with a free spirit and a playful honesty about even the silliest parts of life.

Her world was made complete by Jesus first, and right next to Him was Kassie, Ty, and Sawyer. Her faith anchored her life, and she was a proud member of CCOG. Two scriptures were especially dear to her heart:

• But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you" - Romans 8:11

•For wisdom is better than rubies…" - Proverbs 8:11

And above all, she held tightly to this truth: "The greatest gift of all is love." Kandy wanted to leave one message behind for those who loved her:

"Hold on to the memories."

Those words carried special meaning for her because memories, she believed, are God's way of letting love last longer than life.

Two people deserve special mention for the love they poured into Kandy's journey. Her best friend of many years, Tammy Collins Calder, shared a lifetime of stories, belly laughs, and unbreakable friendship. And her angel of a caregiver, Brandi Adams, cared for her with gentleness, dignity, and unwavering devotion.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Conway Church of God led by Bishop Ethan Jacobs with Diana Jacobs, who Kandy loved. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM, at the church.

Kandy left this world having lived fully, loved deeply, laughed loudly, and given generously. Her legacy is stitched into the hearts of all who knew her and every memory of her remains a gift.

Memorial donations in Kandy's memory may be made to ALS Association, 1919 University Avenue W., Suite 175, St. Paul, MN 55104 or Team Gleason Foundation, PO Box 24493, New Orleans, LA 70184.
