Mrs. Eleanor Kendall, age 85, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born February 2, 1941 in New Castle, PA, she was the daughter of the late Andy and Mary Stamata Fundoots. Mrs. Kendall was a member of Sweetwater Branch Baptist Church, where she was a member of the singing group, Gospel Hands.

She served over 40 years as a registered nurse at St. Francis Hospital in New Castle and following retirement, she volunteered at Conway Medical Center.

Mrs. Kendall was a former member of Neshannock Township Lioness Club and New Castle Bible Church in New Castle, PA.

Along with her parents, Mrs. Kendall was predeceased by her step-father, Patsy Canami, a brother, Paul Canami, a sister, Mary Hartzell, step-sister, Janice Sibeto, a sister-in-law, Linda Canami and brothers-in-law, Sam Butera and Ed Nevotne.

Surviving are her husband of 63 years, James W. Kendall; two sons, Jamie Kendall, Jr. (Beth) of Rembert, SC and Jason Kendall (Sharon) of Monroe, NC; three sisters, Jean Nevotne of New Castle, PA, Patsey Eicholtz (Ron) of Beaver Falls, PA, and Sherry Vitone (Patrick) of Kent, OH; step-sisters, Jacki Johns and Joyce Allen; and a brother-in-law, Don Hartzell of Wampum, PA.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 PM-3:00 PM, at the church.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Sweetwater Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Cliff Mixon officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
