James Bobst Obituary

James Walter Bobst Jr, 64, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Conway Medical Center. He was born March 1, 1961 in Palm Beach County, Florida, a son of the late James Walter Bobst Sr. and Alma Sweat Meeks. He was also predeceased by his wife, Patricia Bobst; three brothers, Nelson Bobst, Dale Meeks and Jody Allen Meeks. James was a loving husband, brother, friend, uncle and stepfather. He enjoyed being on the outdoors, sitting by the fire, with his family. He also enjoyed watching star wars movies and fishing. Mr. Bobst is survived by his stepchildren, Tony Herdman, David Haynes and Ginger Herdman; his brother, Ricky Bobst of Aynor; his sisters, Jean Merklinger (Ricky) of Texas and April Meeks of Conway, SC; his girlfriend of several years, Rachel Long; several nieces and nephews and many other family and friends, who loved him dearly and will miss him very much.
