Dottie Hardwick Obituary

Dottie Jean Hardwick, age 74, of Conway, South Carolina passed away peacefully at her residence Wednesday, January 7, 2026. She was born in Conway, South Carolina on November 13, 1951.

She was the daughter of the late Oscar Clifton Bessent and Beulah Mae Bessent (Vause).

She is survived by her children Delana (Marc) Wood of Lugoff SC, and David (Ginger) Hardwick of Aynor SC, grandchildren Riley and Bailey Hardwick, and sisters Brenda (Frank) Graham of Nashville TN and Frances Lewis of Conway SC. Loved by many additional nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She was a graduate of Conway High School, class of 1970 and Joyland Beauty School class of 1972. Serving others was her heart's desire and she committed decades to making others beautiful. She served many at Century II Beauty Salon with her friend and partner, Ethel Davis. She was an active member of Aynor Church of God where she served proudly. She loved to sing, draw, watch her Hallmark and reality TV shows and spend time with her children and granddaughters. She led her life with love and prayer always.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 12, 2026 at the Aynor Church of God. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 3:00pm until 5:00pm at Watson Funeral Services.
