Charles Smith Obituary

Myrtle Beach... Mr. Charles A. "Chuck" Smith, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 surrounded by his family. Born February 15, 1948 in Gallipolis, OH, he was the son of the late Earl Allen and Edna Romine Smith. He was a member of Forestbrook Baptist Church. Mr. Smith was a social butterfly who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was the kind of man to give you the shirt off of his back. Mr. Smith was a Godly man; always praying for his family. He loved his family very much and will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Along with his parents, Mr. Smith is predeceased by two sons, Jeff Smith and Chad Cooper and a son in law, Jimmy Marlowe. Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Beth Cooper Smith; two children, Sheri Marlowe and Hunter Smith (Kelly); four grandchildren, Jaimie Jones (Tim), Jodi Martin (Jonathan), Julie Stanley (Chris), and Easton Smith; and seven great grandchildren, Savannah Jones, Jace Jones, Carson Stanley, Caroline Stanley, Presley Fullwood, Lawson Martin, and Maddox Martin. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Forestbrook Baptist Church with Dr. Randal Helms and Dr. Wayne Brown officiating. Entombment will follow at the Hillcrest Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
