SUMMERVILLE, SC - The Management and Staff of THE SERENITY MORTUARY - SUMMERVILLE CHAPEL, along with the Streveler family announce the passing of Mr. Ronald John Streveler, 87 of
Summerville, SC., who entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 6, 2026 at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center, Charleston, SC. Mr. Streveler is the beloved and devoted husband of Mrs. Carol F. Streveler and a veteran of the US Air Force.
He was born on April 8, 1938, in
Canton, Illinois, the son of Frank J. Streveler and Rose Ann (Beck) Streveler.
After attending Fort Atkinson High School, Ronald enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving honorably from 1955 to 1959. During his service, he was stationed at Thule Air Force Base in Greenland (now Pituffik Space Base, a United States Space Force installation) and at Schilling Air Force Base in Kansas.
Ronald was a man of remarkable skill, creativity, and ingenuity. Over the course of his working life, he was employed as a bricklayer, ceramic artist, HVAC sales and installation specialist, and a self-employed handyman and craftsman. He was widely respected for his meticulous attention to detail, strong work ethic, and unwavering sense of duty.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; his son, Tony; his daughters, Theresa and DeDe; his adopted son, Jeff; his stepdaughter, Janet (Jackie); his stepson, Luke (Ann); and their families. He is also survived by his brothers, Tom, Paul, and Mike.
Ronald was preceded in death by Patricia Estep Streveler and Jacquelin Fay Streveler; his son, Josh; and his parents.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.
