Linda Vaughn Obituary

Linda Jean Vaughn, 76, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving husband and sons.

Born in Marietta, Ohio, Linda was the daughter of the late Ralph and Jessie Elizabeth Dougherty Householder. She was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Rankin, and her brother, Rodger Householder.

Linda dedicated many years of her professional life to Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union, where she served as a respected Branch Manager and Corporate Trainer. After retiring, Linda devoted her time to what she loved most, cooking for family, friends and customers. Her passion for preparing meals and sharing them with others became one of the many ways she expressed her love, leaving behind cherished culinary heirlooms as part of her legacy.

Linda is survived by her husband of 57 years, Dennis E. Vaughn; her sons, Scott E. Vaughn (Jessica) and Cory M. Vaughn; and her three beloved grandchildren, J. Cody Vaughn, Julia H. Vaughn, and Dalton E. Vaughn. She is also survived by her sister, Susan Moore; her brothers, Ralph Householder and Ron Householder; along with many loving nieces and nephews who will remember her warmth, kindness, and spirit.

At Linda's request, no formal services will be held at this time.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Linda's memory may make a donation to the Dementia Society of America.
