Daniel Aten Obituary

Daniel Lee Aten, 46, of Summerville, husband of Kellie Beth Aten, passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 at his residence.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 3 o'clock to 4 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 4 o'clock.

Dan was born on November 12, 1975 in Macomb, IL, son of Billy Aten (Connie) of Bushnell, IL and Patricia Waters Guasta of Summerville. He graduated from the SC Fire Academy with his Firefighters 2 certificate. He served in the US Army Infantry. He enjoyed remote control airplanes, cars, and boats. He loved being on the water fishing He also enjoyed spending time with his grandfather snow skiing and sailing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and watching football.

Survivors in addition to his wife and parents are: four children: Tyler James Arnold (Paige) of Peoria, IL, Madison Caroline Marshall of Summerville, Lia Gabrielle Aten of Macomb, IL, and Grace Lillie Aten of Summerville. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Mary E. MaGowan Waters.
