Raymond Larke Obituary

Carl Raymond Larke, 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 1, 2026.

A native of Greenville County, son of the late John Roy and Leola Solesbee Larke, after 30 years he retired from Renfrew Bleachery, Travelers Rest then became the owner of Double Springs Sanitation Services and was a member of Praise Cathedral.

Surviving are his wife, Doris Ann Foster Larke of the home; three children, Tina Ann Patterson (Robert), Tony Raymond Larke (Ann), and Timothy Carl Larke (Jeanna); seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Larke was predeceased by a great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2026, at Praise Cathedral conducted by Pastor Jerry Madden and Rev. Bobby Johnson. A private entombment will be held in Hillcrest Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2026, at the church.

Pallbearers will be Chris Morgan, Ed Ables, Christian Mills, Darrell Lark, Mark Larke, and Eric Smith.

Seniors of Praise Cathedral will serve as honorary escorts.

The family will be at their respective homes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Praise Cathedral, 3390 Brushy Creek Road, Greer, South Carolina 29650 or Hopewell Baptist Church, 1919 SC-11, Landrum, South Carolina 29356.
