Martha Haga Obituary

Martha Haga Duncan, SC Martha Lorena "Renie" Collins Haga, 83, arrived at her heavenly home on Thursday, September 25, 2025. Jesus Christ, her personal Lord and Savior, welcomed her with open arms. Renie was born June 28, 1942, in Smyth County, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late John Wesley Collins and Rebecca Jane Eller Collins and the wife of the late Ambers Ray Haga, whom she was married to for over 57 years. Renie was a devoted bank teller at the National Bank of Chilhowie (Truist) for over 40 years. She always said the thing she loved most about her job was the people. She was known for her sweet smile and kind heart. Jesus' love shined brightly in her. Survivors include her daughter, Karen Blevins; granddaughter, Lindsey Bridwell and husband, Matthew; great-grandchildren, Mackson Edward, Titan Ray, Brooklynn Paige, and Jetson Matthew Bridwell; and brother, George Collins and wife, Janie. Ms. Haga was preceded in death by her precious granddaughter and her angel, Lindey Paige Blevins, and sister, Sarah Kathrine Owens. Memorial service will be conducted at 7PM Monday, September 29, 2025, at Cleghorn Valley Baptist Church in Marion, VA, with Rev. Wesley Eller officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM prior to the memorial service at the church. Burial will be 10AM Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Riverside Baptist Cemetery in Chilhowie, VA.
