James Coker Obituary
Roger was a devoted husband of Cindy Coker for 44 years and a proud father to Kristin Coker and Ryan (Melissa Oliver) Coker. He was also a loving brother to Vincent (Merideth) Schmidt, Linda Schmidt, and Carl (Joye) Schmidt. He was also a devoted son to his mother Judy Stead and his late father James Coker.
Roger worked as an associate for 40+ years at 3M Tape Company, he retired in 2017. He was known for his reputation, and he was well liked by his coworkers. He was well known for his friendliness, hard work, and dependability.
In his free time, Roger enjoyed woodworking, fishing at Lake Greenwood and Murrells Inlet, camping, and spending time with his family. He was known for his creativity, his attention to detail, he was a great cook, and wonderful to be around.
He was dedicated to donating monthly to tunnel for towers, always ready with a helping hand or a listening ear and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Tunnel to Towers.

Worked with Roger for over 30 years at 3M, he was good friend and co worker was always willing to go beyond his job to help you when you needed it. Work was more enjoyable with him being around with his wit and humor. RIP my friend until I get to Heavens gate and see you again, brother Homer is going to be lost without you being here keeping him straight.....
