Arthur Fowler Obituary

Arthur "Carroll" Fowler, 93, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
He was the son of the late William Arthur "Ott" and Lyda Pearl Henson Fowler. Carroll was married to his high school sweetheart of 72 years, Frances Lockhart Fowler. He served in the South Carolina Army National Guard. He was a lifelong member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, where he was a former deacon and member of the Men's Senior Adult Sunday School Class. He retired after 43 years of being a "Will" truck driver for Winn Dixie Warehouse-Greenville Division, where he was known as the "Peach Man". He was a retired cattle farmer and co-owner of Fowler Brothers Peach Farm. He loved working on the farm and in his garden. He was most often seen sitting under the maple tree next to his garden or riding his lawnmower. He was a regular at the retired Winn Dixie drivers' monthly breakfast.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his daughter, Melinda Fowler of Greer; grandchildren, Beth Smith (Dale), Zach Fowler, Bradley Fowler, all of Greer; great-grandchildren, Jinnise Smith and D.J. Smith; brothers-in-law, Gerald Lockhart (Brenda) of Greer, Alvis Lockhart (Gloria) of Pensacola, Florida, Williams Lockhart (Cathy) of Greer; and sisters-in-law, Sarah Taylor of Rock Hill, Linda Lockhart of Clearwater, Florida and Vicki Fowler of Greer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, C. E. "Gene" Fowler and Katherine Fowler of Greer; a son, Nathan Fowler of Greer; two brothers, John William Fowler and Larry Fowler; a sister, Sadie Fowler Robison; brothers-in-law, Robert Lockhart, Kenneth Taylor; and sister-in-law, Sylvia Lockhart Bruce.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Ted Conwell and Rev. David Walker.
Visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 1:00 until 2:15 p.m., Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the church.
Pallbearers will be Ken Taylor, Steve Lockhart, Jason Lockhart, Richard Lockhart, Randy Fowler, Wade Turner, John Burnett and Steve Goodwin.
