He is preceded in death also by a son, Jonathan Matthew McCall.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Buck McCall of Pawleys Island; son, Patrick Shawn McCall and his wife Sheila of Murrells Inlet; daughter, Kristina McCall Blizzard and husband Kenneth of Kinston, NC; sisters, Tonda McCall Coutu and husband Danny of Salisbury, NC, Terry McCall of Pawleys Island and Tami McCall McCann and husband Francis of Charleston, SC; brother, William D. McCall, Jr. and wife Robin of Pawleys Island; grandson, William Hayden Blizzard of Kinston, NC and his beloved pets, Maggie Mae and Magic.
Barry served as a Georgetown County Magistrate for twenty one years.
A memorial service was held 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church, 9967 Ocean Hwy, Pawleys Island, SC 29585. Inurnment will be held later date in the church cemetery.
The family requests that memorials be made in Barry's name to the charity of one's choice.
The family sends a special thank you to Hollings Cancer Center, Health Care Team of MUSC.

Barry was my first cousin--our mothers were sisters. When we were kids we lived beside each other before his family moved to Pawley's Island. We went our different ways but touched base throughout our years when my family went to the beach. I was glad to get to visit a couple of years ago with cousin Judy and see him and Martha. I know he was a big guy with a big heart and God had his hand on him-especially when he was struck by lightening twice and lived! Blessings to his family, wife and children. There were 34 of us cousins and I was closest in age to Barry who was a year older than I was.

Barry was a friend. we used to meet at the litchfield rest. and just reminisce. served on the magistrate's jury and found him to be fair and just. He was a good man.

BARRY WAS A GREAT FRIEND TO MANY PEOPLE. ALWAYS TRYING TO HELP OTHERS. HE WILL BE MISSED BUT NOT FORGOTTEN.
