Theresa Tiller Obituary

Theresa (Rese) Richardson Pipkin Tiller age 75 of Commerce, GA passed away peacefully November 13, 2023. Rese was the daughter of the late Theresa Lee Pipkin and Theron Richardson Pipkin of Georgetown, South Carolina. She attended Vardell Hall in Red Springs, NC, graduated from Greensboro College with a BA degree in Special Education and received a M.Ed. Degree in Special Education from the University of South Carolina. Rese taught orthopedically impaired and medically fragile children at Whitten Center, Clinton, SC, and then she then taught orthopedically impaired children for Clarke County Schools, Athens, Georgia until her retirement. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Joseph Anthony Tiller.

Mrs. Tiller was a member of the Commerce First United Methodist Church, Commerce, Georgia where she was a member of Circle III; in addition, Rese was also a member of the James Pittman Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution.



Rese is survived by her son Joseph Christopher "Chris" Tiller (Elisabeth) of Peachtree City, Georgia, and her daughter Amelia Tiller Williams (Rick) of Charleston, SC. Grandchildren; Thea Elizabeth Williams and Emma Claire Williams of Charleston, SC; and Charlotte Anne Tiller and Joseph Edward Tiller of Peachtree City, Georgia. Cousins; Jean Holland Georgetown, SC, Marguerite Assey Columbia, SC, and Josephine Brunoski Ho-Ho Kus, NJ.

Funeral service will be held Friday, Nov. 17th at 11 AM at the Commerce First Untied Methodist Church with Rev. Joshua Carr officiating. The interment will be held at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veteran Cemetery in Anderson, SC on Monday, Nov. 27th. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday night from 5-7 PM.
