Salvatore Adorna Obituary

Salvatore Adorna, known as Sam, of Pawleys Island, has passed away peacefully on July 2nd at the age of 92.
He was born on September 17th 1932 in Newark, NJ to Joseph and Anita (Romano) Adorna.
He served in the Army in Germany during the Korean War. He was an excellent athlete and an avid Giants and Yankee fan.
He had a long career as a Stationary Engineer at Kraft Foods and Macy's. He enjoyed wood making (making doll houses and rocking horses for his loved ones was his specialty), he could fix anything, was an excellent cook, especially Italian food, loved animals, and was an avid golfer.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Dolores, and his younger brother Joseph Jr (Robin). He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Kathleen Adorna, his older brother Michael (Elaine), his four children Thomas (Renee), Susan Kuronya (Tony), Beth Romph, Jean Wilson (Jason), two grandchildren Ryan Enste and Julianne Wilson, many beloved nieces and nephews and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to St. Jude’s or a charity of your choosing.
