Rhonda Troutman Obituary

Rhonda D. Troutman, 70 of Beaufort, SC, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, July 14, 2025, after nearly a year long battle with pancreatic cancer. Rhonda was born on October 8, 1954, in Dunn, NC, the daughter of the late Charlie Martin and Shelby Jean (Strickland) Denning. She graduated from Hobbton High School in Newton Grove, NC. She later married James E. Troutman USMC on 14 February 1986 in Dillon, SC. Through the years she traveled to many military duty stations across the country and world with her husband. Before retiring in 2009, she worked as a Medical Office Manager in Beaufort, SC. She was an avid cat lover and enjoyed the beach and beach music. If you knew Rhonda, you had a friend for life. Her infectious laugh was recognized anywhere. In better days, she enjoyed decorating her home and being outdoors landscaping her yard. Survivors include: her Husband: James Troutman; Son Bradley Bass; Mother Shelby Jean Denning; Sister Teresa Humbert; Brother; Christopher Denning; Granddaughter; Ashlyn Bass; many nieces and cousins. Respectfully honoring her wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
