Prentiss Covington Obituary
Born in Marlboro County, SC, Mr. Covington was the son of the late Prentiss E. Covington, Sr. and Carolyn Black Covington. A proud US Army veteran, Mr. Covington served from 1965 to 1972. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf and spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren who were his whole world. In addition to his parents, Mr. Covington is preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Rogers and his sister Carol Anne Covington, both of Bennettsville, SC.
Survivors include his loving wife, Carolyn R. Covington, Georgetown, SC; daughter, Brandi (Frank) Covington, Greensboro, NC; son, Ron (Nancy) Rogers of Bennettsville, SC; brother, Ricky (Lynn) Covington, Bennettsville, SC; sister, Pam Covington, Bennettsville, SC; grandchildren, Kimberly (Keagan) Glidewell, Rockingham, NC; Brent Rogers, Bennettsville, SC; Cory (Michelle) Odom, Bennettsville, SC; Tiffany (John) Odom, Valdosta, GA; Megan Barbee, Hemingway, SC; great grandchildren, Talen Glidwell, Adalyn Adams, Jeffery Adams, Jr., Katelyn Adams, Anna Grace Odom, Raylan Odom, Kabery Kick, John Davis, Kyler Kick, Koah Kick, Karsyn Kick, Kace Kick.
A Celebration of Life was held Thursday October 28, 2021 at Rosehill Baptist Church, Georgetown, SC.
Memorial donations in Mr. Covington's name be made to the Rosehill Baptist Youth Fishing Tournament, 4572 County Rd S-22-6, Georgetown, SC 29440.
The family would like to express a special "Thank You" to Rosehill Baptist Church, friends and family for all the loving support given during this time.
