Kristen Berge (Foley)

July 14, 2024

My name is Kristen Berge. I am the daughter of Rosemarie Foley, who when Kathy met her when they were 28, was Rosemarie Lado. She was my mother´s best friend since she was 18. I always lovingly referred to her as Aunt Kathy. Staying at her apartment in the city with her cat Freddy when I was younger are some of the memories I will never forget! Staying at her mother´s cabins in NH, and being on the beach by the lake driving around to find pie from the pieman and cooking breakfast on the weekends with her brother and his wife. I had been reaching out to her via email, but had not heard back. I am so sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful person, she made me laugh a lot when I was younger. She meant a lot to me growing up and I know she meant the world to my mother. I´m sorry this is so late. I just found it.

Kathy first invited me to Belle Isle Book Club years ago and we´ve attended together until her recent passing. Kathy was so clever; I´ve had some of the best conversations in my life with these special women. Kathy will be greatly missed. I send my love and prayers to her family.

Kathy was a kind and friendly person with intelligence and a quick wit. She volunteered and generously gave of her time until she was no longer able. I will remember her respect and fondness.
