John Weatherford Obituary

John Sylvester Weatherford, 89, widower of Joyce B. Weatherford, passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017, in the Tidelands Community Hospice House.

Mr. Weatherford was born February 19, 1927, in Georgetown. He was a US Army veteran of World War II and was retired from International Paper after 50 years of service.

Surviving Mr. Weatherford are: two sons, John M. Weatherford of Georgetown and David A. Weatherford (Beth) of Wilmington, NC; a daughter, Linda W. Palumbo (Micheal) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; four grandchildren, Lillie Weatherford, Grayson Weatherford, Alex Palumbo, and John Palumbo; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday February 21, 2017 at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends after the service in the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Lowcountry Autism Foundation, 135 Rutledge Avenue, Charleston, South Carolina 29425.
