Ethel Cooper Obituary

Ethel Lou Elliott Cooper, 72, the widow of Marvin Lee McClellan, Sr., and William Carthell Cooper, Sr., went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 10, 2021 at MUSC.

Mrs. Cooper was born the daughter of Annabelle Ezra Long Elliott and Isaac Harrison Elliott on May 30, 1949 in Georgetown. She was a retired LPN with Williamsburg Regional Hospital. She enjoyed painting, traveling to the mountains, and taking care of her fur babies. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Holy Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She is survived by: two children, Peggy Lynn McClellan and Marvin Lee McClellan, Jr. (Tammy); five grandchildren, Sabrina Denise McClellan (Michael Miller), Joezana Goins Nelson (Chad), Rebecca Jade Reece, Wyatt McClellan and Christian McClellan; and six great grandchildren, Suri, Grace, KayLee, Alyssa, Kyah, and Adalaya. She is also survived by: two brothers, Rev. Wilbur Henry Elliott (Cheryl) and Dennis Elliott (Sharon); and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by: her parents; her husbands; a brother, Allen Elliott; a sister, Tammy E. Knight; and a grandson, Benjamin Earl Wallace.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 3PM, Thursday, July 15, 2021 at The Christian Fortress directed by the Andrews Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home.

The McClellan family will receive family and friends immediately after the service.

McKenzie Funeral Home is honored to serve the McClellan family.
