Willie Lee Obituary

Willie Mae Hayden Lee, age 86, of Summerville, SC, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday evening, February 15, 2026. Born July 22, 1939, in Swansea, SC, she was the beloved daughter of Clarence Hayden and Rosa Lee Williamson Hayden. Mae was a dedicated member of Deliverance Tabernacle Ministries and was known for her entrepreneurial spirit as the former owner and operator of North Area Taxi.

She found joy in sewing, making clothes for her children, and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. Shopping for clothes was her favorite pastime, and she cherished moments spent reading her Bible and praying. Mae's adventurous spirit led her to travel to Jerusalem, Australia, and embark on cruises and journeys across the United States.

A beautiful and loving woman, Mae was the heart and monarch of her family. She deeply loved her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Lee Richer (Charles) of Hanahan and Karen Lee Stephenson (Michael) of Summerville; her sister, Betty Kempfer of Lexington; and eight grandchildren: Jessica Mae Morris (Jason), Rosalee Ali (Rum), Roxanne Butler (T.J.), Joshua Davidson (Beth), Ronny Davidson (Shayla), Daniel Stephenson, Sara Wimmer (Jacob), and Thomas David Lee, III. Mae was preceded in death by her son, Thomas David Lee, Jr., and her grandson, Rodney David Storm.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in the Chapel of Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends from at 3:30 PM until the hour of service on Wednesday.
