James Dylan Danielson, 30, of
Moncks Corner, SC, a local paintball referee, passed away Sunday morning at his residence.
James was born April 7, 1995, in
Gainesville, FL, a son of Stephen Andrew Danielson and Donna Lynn Crooke Danielson. He attended The Corner Church and lived his life with a generous spirit and a kind heart.
James enjoyed paintball, Anime, Manga, and buying and fixing cars. He had a deep love for his dad's 1996 Toyota Tacoma, which he drove daily and took great pride in restoring. He also loved playing video games, especially Red vs. Blue and Halo. James had a special way with animals, and they were drawn to him - none more so than his beloved Scamp.
He never met a stranger. James was known for his kindness, his generosity, and the thoughtful, extra-special Christmas gifts he put so much heart into choosing. His gentle nature and the way he cared for others will be remembered by all who knew him.
James was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carol "Linda" Ham, Edith Wilds, and John Danielson; and his uncle, Donny Ham.
Surviving are his father and stepmother, Stephen "Steve" A. Danielson and his wife Sheri of Lake City, FL; his mother, Donna Lynn Crooke Danielson of Moncks Corner; his sister, Aundi Driggers and her husband Michael of Moncks Corner; his stepsister, Kathryn Nattiel and her husband Jalen of Lake City, FL; two brothers, Lonnie Starnes III and his wife Hannah of Moncks Corner, and Stephen Danielson Jr. of Lakewood, CO; his grandmother, Diane Danielson of Caribu, Maine; his aunts and uncles, Sean and Cindy Ham of Milton, FL, Brenda and Geoffrey "Scott" Davis of Houston, TX, and Robert and Kelly Danielson of Kentucky; his nieces and nephews, Alivia Driggers, Wyatt Driggers, Brice Starnes, Landon Starnes, Sawyer Snodgrass, Daisy Starnes and Brisen Nattiel; and many cousins and extended family members.
A celebration of James's life will be held at 1:00 PM Friday afternoon, February 20, 2026, in the Chapel of Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the hour of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Moncks Corner.

James will be remembered most for his bright, easy smile - the kind that lit up a room and made people feel welcome the moment he walked in. He treated everyone with kindness, patience, and a genuine interest that made even strangers feel like old friends. His family will forever treasure the memories of his laughter, his thoughtful nature, and the way he showed love through small, meaningful gestures. Whether he was sharing a joke, helping with a project, or picking out the perfect Christmas gift, James gave his whole heart, and those moments will remain with his loved ones always.
