I am saddened to hear of your loss. Mrs. Gantt was my Sunday School teacher at Morris Street Baptist and was one of the kindest ladies that I have ever known. She always had such a lovely smile on her face, and she and Deacon Gantt truly lived their faith at home, at work, and at church. On behalf of the Wright Family (Reginald Sr., Dorothy, Reginald Jr., Orlando, and Caroline), I extend our deepest sympathy and our prayers for your strength during this most difficult time.

She cared about the students so much I can visualize her at the old Burke High School in the cafteria,sitting on the stools and helping us with our lucheon. It is with deep sadness to learn of Mother Gantt's transition from earth to her heavenly home. She was loved by many and will be missed. I would always pay her a visit every time that I would come to Charleston. I will miss our chats. She was like a mother to me and always guided me when I needed guidance about many things.
