I didn't have the immense pleasure of knowing Wesley for much of his life. I met him earlier this year when he and my husband became best friends, practically overnight. He treated us like family. The only thing he wanted from us was our friendship. Friends like that are far and few between. We were lucky to have known him. If I could speak to him now, I would thank him for being such a strong positive influence in our lives. Lord knows we weren't prepared for tragedy to take him from us so soon. Our condolences to the family. Also, Betsy, please reach out to us if you ever need anything. Wes spoke so highly of his sister. He truly loved you and his boys more than anything in this world. If you need a friend, you know my number. RIP Wesley. You will be missed but you will not be forgotten.

It was during Wes' time in Charleston, that I came to know him. He was a dental patient of ours. One time we were planning a trip to Russia. I was blown away by his knowledge and interest in all things Russian, and he taught me a great deal in a short period of time. I wish we could have taken him along with us! I can't think of that trip without thinking of Wes. Please know how much we share your sadness, and we pray for God's strength to sustain you in the days and years ahead.

Bea and Betsy,
There are no words to express how I feel. I never saw him but he gave me a smile and a hug. God Bless all of you.
