Warren Evans Obituary

Warren Dibble Evans, Jr. AWENDAW - Warren Dibble Evans, Jr., 70, of Awendaw, South Carolina, husband of Carolyn McCracken Evans, entered into eternal rest Monday, June 5, 2023. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2023 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 10:00 am. The family will receive friends following the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Warren was born April 7, 1953 in Sumter, South Carolina, son of the late, Warren Dibble Evans, Sr. and the late Leo Nina Rearden Evans. He gave back to his community in many ways. Warren served on the Trident Technical College Industrial Advisory Committee for several years, the SC Apprenticeship Committee, and served as a Deputy Wildlife Conservation Officer in Georgetown County for 12 years for Arcadia Plantation and Debordieu Corp. He was proud of being a Shriner, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. He will be remembered for his love of hunting, fishing, shrimping, singing karaoke and enjoying life with his friends and family. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carolyn; his two daughters, Wendy Evans Butler (Travis) of Peachtree Corners, GA, and Hunter Evans Looper (David) of Columbia, SC; four grandchildren, Tab Butler, Wit Butler, Pace Looper, Patterson Looper; sister, Nancy Evans Farrell (Larry); and many loved nieces and nephews.
