Aunt Margaret, Linda, Nancy and Stevie,
I just found out today about Uncle WL. I am so sorry ! He was a true Classic, there will never be another WL. With Uncle Bill and Uncle WL, what more could a nephew ask for? It is not where you go it is who know. He made Charleston a better place. Living in Hawaii, what I miss the most are our family get togethers.
He will be sadly missed,
Rick (Stephen That is how I got my middle name) Todd

Nancy, My sympathy is with you. I know how you loved your Dad. You were very devoted to him and expressed it constantly. You will miss him terribly, but I know you cherish the wonderful memories you have. Love, Sandy

Dearest Margaret, Linda and family,
I was so sorry to hear that W.L. passed. Robert and I loved him and your family dearly. W.L. was so easy to love, he had such a giving, generous spirit and was always so upbeat and positive. I don’t believe he ever met a stranger and he certainly had his way of pulling one into his family and making them feel treasured. The memories and humor we shared while breeding our poodles will always be a treasure. I will always remember him with love, and I wish his family peace.

Steve & Cathy, and family ... Please know that my heart goes out to each of you, holding you in love. W.L. always made me feel a part of your family, and he was so easy to love because he gave so much love. Because words fail to say what I long to say, please know that even though I cannot be there in person, my love and compassion are with you in spirit, with deepest sympathy ...

Linda, Stephanie, and Mrs. Stephens
Rae and I were very fond of Mr. Stephens. He never missed an opportunity to bring up the Citadel. He loved that place and anyone who was a graduate even the likes of me. We will miss him.

Dear Margaret, Steve and Family,
May God give you peace and strength at this time. W.L. loved his family, his work, and his City of Charleston. It was a pleasure to have known him since 1968. His leadership and his work ethics will always be remembered. I personally did not have the opportunity to call on him lately, as I have been very ill myself. I shall miss him dearly!
May God bless you all.

Mrs. Stephens and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Mr. Stephens was a wonderful man. He always had a smile on his face and always had time to stop and talk with me when we met in the store. I met Mr. Stephens 44 years ago when I worked for Creighton and Joanie Evans. I lost my husband 1/21/07 and Joanie was telling me then that Mr. Stephens was not doing well. I am sorry I did not have a chance to talk with him before he left us. He will certainly be missed by many people. May God bless and comfort you at this time.
With Sincere Sympathy,
Mark Hernandez
