Virginia Folk Obituary

FOLK, Virginia Entered into eternal rest on the morning of August 18, 2006, Virginia Ham Folk, widow of William E. Folk, Jr. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Monday, August 21, 2006 at ten o'clock. Interment, Harmony Presbyterian Churchyard, Crocketville, SC. Friends may call at Stuhr's Downtown Chapel. Mrs. Folk was born July 4, 1925 in Pamplico, SC, the daughter of James Leroy Ham and Leila Virginia Harrell Ham. She was a graduate of Nichols High School and a member of The First (Scots) Presbyterian Church. She was a retired employee of Sears, Roebuck and Co. She dedicated her life to her family. She is survived by two daughters: Janet Carol Stonaker and Julia Virginia Folk both of Charleston, SC; one son: William E. Folk, III and his wife Gloria of Charleston, SC; one sister-in-law: Carolina Folk Caldwell of Charleston, SC; three grandsons: William Karl Folk, W. Alton Stonaker, Lawrence Patrick Stonaker; one granddaughter: Eliza Dolores Archino and her husband Frank; three great-grandchildren: Michael Andrew Archino, Vincent Ellison Archino and William Patrick Stonaker; one great-granddaughter: Brieanna Nichol Archino and two nephews, Theron Leroy Denson and Alvin E. Caldwell, Jr. She was predeceased by her sister: Nell Ham Denson. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Charleston Chapter of the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC 29406. Peace Momma. I am so sorry to hear of her death. I am Eula Williams'granddaughter. I live in Virginia and still take care of mom, Lucille,who is 86. She is in a nursing home with many medical problems.

Virginia, like her husband Will who preceded her, will always be remembered for her dedication and love for family and friends. She was truly a genteel Southern lady and an inspiration to those around her. Our prayers are with the family she leaves behind, and in the hope they will all be together again one day.
