Verna Haschke Obituary

VERNA RAE HASCHKE, 69 PECATONICA - Verna Rae Haschke, 69, was welcomed into Heaven Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012. She died peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family and husband of 50 years, Richard. Born April 19, 1943, in Rockford, to Vernon and Helen (Sears) Carlson. She attended East High School and married Richard Haschke on Sept. 25, 1962. After 22 years, Verna retired from K-Mart on East State Street. She enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. Survived by husband of 50 years, Richard; children, Richard II (Kathy) and Allen (Julia) Haschke, Kim (Raymond) Weyl and Kelly (Chris) Seaton; and nine grandchildren. Predeceased by parents; brother, David Carlson; and sister, Marilyn Nelson. A very special thank you to Northern Illinois Hospice and Grief Center for their loving care. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at First Congregational Church, 633 Reed St., with burial in Willwood Burial Park, Rockford. Visitation from 10 a.m. to service time Friday at the church.
