Thomas Thornhill Obituary

We are the parents of Erics best friend, Carey Schwartz. we had the great pleasure of meeting Tommy at their wedding. I must say that his elegance and happiness that night is something that will stay with us for a long time. Our thoughts are with your family. RIP Tommy:

I'm Charleston born,
and Charleston bred.
And when I die I'll be Charleston dead.

I knew Mr. Thornhill during my earlier years. He was a man of dignity and also very great grace. He was always a gentleman that had good thoughts for all that he encountered. I am very sorry to here of his passing and know that he will be another Charlestonian who will be greatly missed.

A gentleman from the past. A reminder of what we all value and strive to be. I only knew Tommy Thornhill for the last few years after arriving in Charleston but count him as one of the top men with whom I have ever been associated: a first class contributing member of society.

Another lion of the commercial real estate community has left us. Mr. Thornhill used every tool, word, or device to serve his many clients and friends. He built a grand firm of like minded people who became wiser for his guidance. Prayers for his excellent family and many friends.
