i was more than stunned when I received a call from Charleston informing me that Thomas McFall passed. He was such agoog friend and classmate (class of '43 Avery).

After graduation I did not see Thomas until 1995. It was a great pleasure to have him visit us in Tampa and my visits to Charleston always include seeing Thomas. I will certainly miss him, and all of our telephone calls. My deepest sympathy to the family that he loved so very much. He wil certainly be missed by the family here in Tampa.

Dear Family and Friends--

I just heard about the death of one of my favorite persons, Tom McFall. He was truly cut from a different cloth. Tom McFall would not just talk about a problem, he would roll up his sleeves and work hard to solve it.

I will truly miss hearing that voice on the other end of the line. We didn't talk often, but when we did, it brought a smile to my face.

While this news saddens me, I am hopeful that all of us remember Tom's good deeds, his positive presence and his commitment to our community. We all should view his volunteer work as a template to copy and 'go forth and do likewise'.

I am so sorry that Thomas died..he was one of my favorite people in the whole world and I loved him.He and I were so close during the time he served on the Board of Charleston Affordable Housing. He was an asset to our organization, the community and all that knew him. May his joy, positive outlook and spirit remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

I have been looking for him since his departure from Cantebury House--they would not/ could not give me a forwarding number or address. My love to you and your family. Fondly, Cathy M. Kleiman, Executive Director, Charleston Afforedable Housing and Mr. McFall's friend.
