Fennessy Linda Walker
Johns Island - Linda Walker Fennessy, 85, of Johns Island, South Carolina, wife of Richard P. Fennessy Sr., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 11, 2026. A service will be held Friday, April 17, 2026 at Old St. Andrew's Parish Church, 2604 Ashley River Road at 11:00 am. Burial to immediately follow in the churchyard. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 16, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.
Linda was born on February 4, 1941, in Columbus, Georgia, and was the beloved daughter of the late Flournoy C. Walker, Jr. and Louise Kilgore Walker Perkins.
Linda was a devoted wife and loving mother. She was a graduate of North Charleston High School and attended the College of Charleston. She enjoyed a career in banking where she was known for her diligence and warm smile. She served as PTA President at her children's school and was a Rotary Foundation Paul Harris Fellow. Linda loved gathering with family and friends, singing in the church choir, gardening, boating, crabbing, fishing and anything else related to the water. She loved all animals especially her cats. She enjoyed traveling and was an avid NASCAR racing and Clemson Tiger fan. Her laughter and fun loving spirit will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Fennessy, her daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" Fennessy Allred (John), her sons Richard "Ricky" Paul Fennessy, Jr and David "Dave" Emmett Fennessy (Patsy), four great-grandchildren and her brother Flournoy C. Walker, III (Becky).
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Flournoy C. Walker, her mother, Louise Walker Perkins, and her two grandsons, Talon Lawrence Williamson and Zachary Paul Fennessy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Old St. Andrew's Parish Church, Charleston SC.
