Thomas Marcos Obituary

Dr. Thomas George Marcos, Sr. GREER, SC - Dr. Thomas George Marcos, Sr., 78, husband of Dorothy Benton Marcos of Greer, SC, entered into eternal rest November 15, 2019. A native of Charleston, SC, he was born August 24, 1941, to the late George A. Marcos, Sr. and Lucille Sterlokos Marcos and was the brother of the late George A. Marcos, Jr. Dr. Marcos graduated from Rivers High School, Charleston and was a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina School of Pharmacy. He was a member of the American Pharmaceutical Association, and later served as past president of the SC Pharmaceutical Association, as well as the Charleston Optimist and the local chapter of The Gideons International. He was a member of Taylors First Baptist Church; he had served as a deacon and teacher in various SC Southern Baptist Churches. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Dorothy, of 54 years; sons, Tommy Marcos, Jr. of Irmo and David R. Hayward of Greenville and two grandchildren, Alexandria Marcos and John Marcos. Visitation will be held 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2019, in the Chapel of Taylors First Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Taylors First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Owens McAlister, pastor and longtime dear friend.
