Tommy,I will miss you terribly, my sweet cousin. You were so very special to me, but you always knew that. My heart is broken right now because we have lost you. Each time we were together, we picked up where we had left off the last time we saw each other, no matter how long a time it had been. I have so many fond memories of our times together as children. My children never were able to meet you, but you have another namesake as my son's name is also Thomas Michael.

To Tommy's children, my deepest sympathy. Please know that he was cared for deeply, lovingly, and unconditionally. I hope that he is at peace now.

To The Family of Tom Bootle:

I have been in the radio business and around "radio people," on and off, for the past 32-years. I can honestly say, in all that time,that Tom Bootle was the most talented person that I have ever known- bar none.

I first met Tom in the spring of 1974, the first night he came to Nashville. It was Bob Witkin, now at CNN Radio in Atlanta, who brought Tom to Nashville to work at WKDA radio. We met his first night in town- and became instant friends!

In 1977, it was my friend, Tom Bootle, who helped me get my first fulltime radio show on WKDA.I will always be indebted to his kindness for thinking of me at such a time.

I have been trying to locate Tom for the past several years- but have had no luck. I just found out about his death from his daughter, Melissa. I am so thankful that she contacted me.

Tom Bootle was a very special person...a very talented person...but also a very good old friend. In looking back, Tom Bootle was the kind of person you might only meet once in an entire lifetime! I am thankful that I knew him!

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. God Bless you all!

TO THE BOOTLE FAMILY;

I was so sad to read of Tommys death in the paper. I worked with him years ago at WNCG Radio in North Charleston and remember him well. He was such a talented person and such a wonderful voice, he was always singing around the studio and I even enjoyed watching him do commercials. I lost touch with him but never forgot him and I want you all to know he was a remarkable man and everyone enjoyed working with him and knowing him.

May God bless all of you and always keep Tom close in heart, he would have wanted that.

Sincerely

Kathy Cox
