AUNTIE, WHO KNEW 28 YEARS AGO WHEN OUR DADDY AND YOUR BROTHER, VERNON, SR. USHERED US INTO YOUR LIFE, THAT WE VERNON B. NICHOLAS JR., AND GWENDOLYN NICHOLAS PENNYMAN, WOULD FORGE A RELATIONSHIP THAT WOULD STAND THE TEST OF ANY TIME. I WOULD BE KNOWN TO YOU AS THE DAUGHTER YOU NEVER HAD AND WOULD AND STILL DO CHERISH THAT HONOR. AUNTIE, OUR HEARTS WILL YEARN FOR THAT HEARTY LAUGH. THE WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE, AND THE RICH FAMILY HISTORY WOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN KNOWN WITHOUT YOUR LOVE AND SERVICE TO OUR LIVES. THE ESSENCE OF YOU MANIFEST STRENGTH IN ME; I WILL MISS MY "HELLO GWEN"? WE REGRET OUR ABSENCE COULDN'T BE AVOIDED, BUT KNOW THAT WE LOVED HER DEARLY, AND EVEN THOUGH WE ARE WEEPING NOW, WE WILL ON THAT GREAT GETTING UP MORNING, WHEN ALL OF US BEHOLD THE FACE OF JESUS, WILL SEE AUNTIE AGAIN, SHOUT WHEN JOY COMES, AND SMILE.

Sorry to learn of this fine lady's passing. I met her in the late 1980's when Vernon Nicholas came to visit her. She was always kind and caring for him. She is missed.
